Tracey Emin
|
Artist Biography:
Tracey Emin (British, b. 1963) uses her life events as inspiration, revealing her hopes, humiliations, failures and successes through a range of media. Emin has exhibited internationally for more than 20 years. She came to fame in the 1990s as part of the YBAs (Young British Artists). Among her numerous exhibitions and accolades, she was short-listed for the Turner Prize in 1999, and represented England at the Venice Biennial in 2007. About the Work:Made in the form of a hand-written letter, Fighting for Love is a fine example of Emin's raw, passionate work. Holding on to the love that keeps us human, Emin's words are at once sentimental and brutal. Market Information:A signed work by one of the most important feminist artists of our time for just $750? We don't believe anything more needs to be said, except perhaps that this work typically retails for at least 50 percent more.
